Today, I find myself standing on the threshold of 60, a milestone that feels as much a beginning as it does a reflection. Reaching this age is both humbling and empowering, a moment to honor the journey that brought me here and to embrace the possibilities of the road ahead.

Before I begin my blog, I want to thank my Lord and savior for his mercies, blessings and just for waking me up this morning! I am ever so grateful…. what a blessing…

So, as I reflect on my journey this morning,  life has been a patient teacher, guiding me through triumphs and trials that shaped me into the person I am today. Each experience, whether joyful or challenging has taught me resilience, strength, and the beauty of transformation. I’ve learned that growth isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it. The detours I once resented now feel like vital parts of my story, leading me to places I never knew I needed to go.

Love has been the anchor of my life. From the bonds of family to the friendships that have endured over the years, I’ve come to realize that love is the essence of what makes life meaningful. Becoming a parent, a grandparent, and a partner has expanded my heart in ways I never imagined. These roles have taught me the value of giving selflessly and receiving with gratitude.

Additionally, I feel proud of the purpose I’ve cultivated. My work, my passions, and my advocacy have all been driven by a deep desire to make a difference. Helping others navigate their journeys and witnessing their growth has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Turning 60 feels like a testament to the purpose I’ve lived and a reminder that there’s still so much more to do!

With age comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes peace. At 60, I am more comfortable in my skin than ever before. I’ve learned to appreciate the small moments sunsets, laughter, quiet mornings with coffee and to cherish the people who make my life whole. Aging has taught me to let go of what no longer serves me and to embrace the beauty of now.

As I celebrate this milestone, I am filled with anticipation for what lies ahead. The chapters I’ve written are only part of the story, and I believe the best is yet to come. Turning 60 isn’t the end of an era, it’s the beginning of a new season, one where I can step forward with confidence, joy, and a heart full of gratitude.

To everyone who has been part of my journey, thank you. Your love, support, and presence have enriched my life in ways words cannot express. As I move into this next chapter, I do so with a heart brimming with appreciation for all that has been and all that is yet to be.

Here’s to 60 years of life, lessons, and love and to embracing the beauty of every moment yet to come.
