You may have missed my blogs for a while, but there comes a time when you have to recharge, reenergize, regroup, reprogram, reprocess, reshuffle, refresh and the list can go on and on..
Never be apologetic for taking a break from anything you are engaged in; it is your entitlement. You see, no one is YOU and that my friends, is your POWER.
In my down time, so much has happened, yet still I rise. It is important to know when to pause and when to climb.
In this journey called LIFE, there will always be adversity; everything that happens, is for a reason. It is a sign that your attention is needed! Come on somebody……
It is for you to take a mental note, take a few steps back to examine what has happened, take a deep breath, digest and process it, learn from it and finally, chart a way forward. You alone have the power to make a difference.
Here are 3 nuggets I used in my down time:
1) Focus on gratitude. In all things give thanks. I listed 100 things to be grateful for. A very rewarding exercise. After listing the first 15 items, you begin to slow down but sit quietly and you will find the next 85 or more items to be grateful for.
Once you have completed the list, before you go to bed and after you pray in the morning, read your list. Read your list everyday. You will notice while doing this exercise that you become mentally and spiritually stronger.
2) Prepare for uncertainty. When things go south, don’t go with it. Ask yourself why this has happened and drill down on solutions. We do not have control of what goes on around us but we do have control of how we respond to what is going on. This is the 90/10 rule: 10% is what you have no control over and 90% is what you can control. You choose!
3) Make sure to adopt empowering beliefs/affirmations. Besides prayer and building a personal relationship with your higher being, I could never stop mentioning how important positive affirmations are to our existence. Practice makes perfect. You alone have the power to turn things around, use that power wisely!
If you are at this juncture and would like our support to implement these 3 steps and more in your everyday life, send me an email at wo.mentowo.menservice@gmail.com for us to schedule an appointment. We will be more than happy to work with you.
YOU alone have the POWER, keep climbing!
